John Allen Milton, 43, of Mansfield, died Thursday, October 3, 2024, at his home. He was the husband of Sarah Milton, and they shared 13 years of marriage together.
Born on April 17, 1981, to John Alfred Milton and Debra Franks, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. He graduated from Temple Christian Academy in Fremont, Ohio, in 2000. John was a Sergeant at Mansfield Correctional Institution since February 2013 and had just been promoted to Case Manager.
John was a beloved fan of the Cleveland Indians, Michigan Wolverines, and Dallas Cowboys. He was an avid trash talker and loved to rub in his wins to anyone who was against his teams. John also loved going to flea markets and collecting records. He loved watching movies. John will always be remembered as a man that had a huge heart and loved his family and friends very much.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah (Myers) Milton; his oldest daughter, Scarlet Rae Milton; his youngest daughter, Joyce Ellen Milton; his brother, Brent Milton; his mother, Debra Franks; his father, John Alfred Milton; father-in-law, Jerrold Myers Sr.; mother-in-law, Sheila Myers; brothers and sister-in-law, Isabelle Milton, Jerrold Myers Jr., Andrea Myers, Samantha (Brandon) Myers, and Jacob (Brianna) Myers; nieces and nephews, Braxton, Ezekiel, and Moses Milton, Matthew, Nyla, and Bexlee Myers, Olivia, and Oakley Ash; grandfather, Tom Kiesel; numerous loved cousins; and extended family.
John was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Franks and Daniel Milton; his grandmothers, Rosella Kiesel and Mary Milton.
A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Faith Methodist Church, 75 N. Sandusky Street, Tiffin, OH 44883.
