Mansfield: Cheryl A. LeMaster of Mansfield, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at OhioHealth Mansfield on July 24, 2024.

She was born on June 14, 1963 to the late Adelaide Reardon Deweese-LeMaster in Mansfield, Ohio. Growing up, Cheryl attended St. Peter’s School and then later attended and graduated from Madison High School.

Cheryl was a hard worker and throughout her adult years she worked at many places around town. She entered the workforce in the 80’s at McDonald’s, then she went on to have fulfilling employment at Sohio, BP, Kroger Fuel, Bell Stores, Dollar General, and finally AutoZone for many years. She was a member of Potter’s House Church and a former member of Heartland Church. Cheryl also spent many years as a member of the Moose Lodge.

In her spare time she enjoyed collecting Harley Davidson memorabilia, and watching sports- she loved cheering on the Cleveland Indians, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Michigan Wolverines. Cheryl also enjoyed taking walks on the beach whenever she could, supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and watching every cooking show imaginable- even though she was not one to spend time in the kitchen! She had a giant heart, especially when it came to animals, she never missed an opportunity to love on every animal she could. Being the friendly and outgoing woman she was, her family could not go anywhere without someone recognizing her, it even happened underground at Mammoth Caves in Kentucky and at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina! Her ever present smile and loving nature will be missed by all who knew her.

Cheryl is survived by her nieces Shannon (Tony) Malec and Ami (Mike Shears) Hiles, nephew Brent (Stacy) DeWeese, great-nieces Carli Malec, Kera (Nathan) Johnson, and Kayleigh DeWeese, great-nephew Cory Malec, sister-in-law Marlene DeWeese, and special friends Laura Boner, Ruth Bonner, Maria Mutchler, and Helen (Michael) Bennett.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her brother Herbert DeWeese Jr, sister Gwendolyn DeWeese, and grandmother Mary Langhurst.

Memorial contributions can be made in her honor to either the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Richland County Humane Society.

A Celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held at a later date.
