LEXINGTON: The appearance of an owl is thought to mean many things: death or hardship, wisdom, decisions to be made, renewal or new beginnings, connection with intuition, and most commonly messages from loved ones past telling us “I’m OK”. A white owl appeared to his son, Timmy, as he left this earth Friday, May 10, 2024, from his home, bringing his message of hope and reassurance.

Tim was born March 14, 1959 in Mansfield to Edmund Timothy and Carolyn “Sue” (Dill) Pelasky and graduated from Lexington High School in 1977. Following high school, Tim served four years in the U.S. Air Force as an F-15 crew chief.

After his time in the military he attended Victor Valley College in CA earning a degree as a certified electronics technician. Tim found his home in St. Louis and worked over 10 years for Union Steel from which he retired. Always busy he ran his own electronics business, Digital Storage, building and repairing computers at the brink of the technology boom. His largest client was The Ohio State University building over 2000 pc’s for their initial computer science program.

Self-made and self-taught Tim could build or fix anything from small appliances and equipment to an entire house from the ground up. Blessed with a great sense of humor, Tim was the center of social networking activity. He was a constant supporter of his only son Timothy Gavin Pelasky. It was safe to say that Tim integrated his life with his son, active in every aspect from sports to music sharing a very special father-son bond. He loved rock music, playing guitar, and attending concerts and was a master at finding ways backstage to meet the band and collect memorabilia.

In addition to his son Timmy, he is survived by his mother Carolyn “Sue” Pelasky, sisters Jacqueline Pelasky, Beth Ann (Jeffrey) Weidenhamer, and Amanda (Brian) Franzman; nieces, nephews Amanda Morant, Natalie Morant, Lyric (Xander) Davis, and Avery (Mary-Catherine) Hout; great nieces and nephews Grayson, Ruby, and Knox Hout, Rylie and Jeffrey Stanley, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father Edmund and brother-in-law Dennis Hout.
The family will host calling Friday, May 17, 2024 from 4-7 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where a service in honor of Tim will follow at 7 pm. Pastor Paul Lintern will speak.

For the convenience of those who would like to express sympathy, other than sending flowers to Tim’s family, a Legacy Gift option is available at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com
