Todd R. Voelp, age 60, of Mansfield passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 from natural causes. He was born and raised in Mansfield being so lucky to have grown up on the Balgreen Farm where he spent his childhood days living the farm life and where he learned to love the outdoors, play endless games of tag football, baseball, have family campfires and build a tree-house or two with his father and brother. Todd was active in sports throughout his school years, playing football, basketball and eventually earning a scholarship to Malone College to play baseball. Todd was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corp.
In 1986, he married the love of his life, Shawn Regula, and together they were blessed with 36 years together. Some of Todd’s favorite pastimes included having family over for cookouts, music, and playing horseshoes and croquet in their backyard with family and friends.
Todd is survived by their two children; son Andy Voelp and daughter Erin Bouchard and her significant other, Cody Johnson. Todd’s life became even fuller when his granddaughter, Claire, was born who stole his heart!
Todd is the son of Monte and Kay Voelp and is also survived by a brother, Tyson Voelp; a sister, Traci(Bob) Zacharias, nieces, Holly(Dave) Peterson, Abby Zacharias, Michael Walter, Shannon Walter, Carlie(Sean)Watson and a sister-in-law, Robin(Tom) Zimmerman. Todd was greeted in heaven by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his beloved canine companion, Talon, who was more than just a dog to him and his family.
The family is planning a private memorial and celebration of life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to help with expenses payable to “Shawn Voelp” and mailed to: Traci Zacharias,4115 Beam Rd., Crestline, OH 44827. Todd’s entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.
