MANSFIELD — In honor of Women’s History Month, the Main Library will exhibit Picturing Women Inventors, a series of eight posters that explore the inventions of 19 highly accomplished American women.
Astronauts, computer pioneers, and businesswomen join athletes, engineers, and even teenagers are among this remarkable group of inventors.
This exhibit will be displayed in the 2nd-floor lobby of Mansfield/Richland County Public Library’s Main Library from March 6-24, 2023.
Picturing Women Inventors is organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service in collaboration with the Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation and was developed in partnership with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and made possible with the support of Lyda Hill Philanthropies IF/THEN Initiative and Ericsson.
The Main Library is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. Visit mrcpl.org for additional information about Mansfield/Richland County Public Library.
