Elida left no doubt of its superiority in polishing off Kenton 45-14 in an Ohio high school football matchup.

Neither side could break ahead as the two teams began in a tense 7-7 duel in the first quarter.

The Bulldogs’ offense moved in front for a 21-14 lead over the Wildcats at halftime.

Elida jumped to a 35-14 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Conditioning showed as the Bulldogs outscored the Wildcats 10-0 in the final quarter.

Tiffin Calvert sets quick pace to roar over Monroeville

Tough to find an edge early, Marion Elgin and Cardington-Lincoln fashioned a 6-6 stalemate through the first quarter.

The Comets opened a meager 12-6 gap over the Pirates at the intermission.

Cardington-Lincoln trimmed the margin in the third quarter to make it 18-14.

The Comets held on with a 12-0 scoring edge in the final quarter.
