MANSFIELD — Richland County residents may want to keep their eye on the sky while enjoying any outdoor activity today.

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has placed our area in a Marginal Risk (1/5) for severe thunderstorms.

“There is a chance for isolated strong to severe storms this afternoon and evening with strong wind gusts being the primary hazard,” said Joe Petrycki, Director of the Richland County Emergency Management Agency.

Residents are cautioned to stay weather aware and monitor the forecast.
