NORTH ROBINSON — Colonel Crawford defended its home turf in resounding fashion, racking up a 50-0 blowout win over 10th-seeded Cardinal Stritch in Saturday night’s Division VI, Region 22 playoff game.
Lincoln Mollenkopf ran for 190 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries to pace the Eagles, who improved to 10-1. Kamryn Lohr completed all three of his passes for 90 yards, including a 62-yard TD to Carter Valentine.
Matt Clinard got the Eagles off to a good start with an 8-yard scoring run in the first quarter, which grew to 14-0 bulge heading to the second period.
Parker Ketterman recorded a safety to make it 16-0, and C.C. added two more scores to stretch it to 30-0 at halftime. That triggered a running clock that ran throughout the second half.
The seventh-seeded Eagles enjoyed a 390-48 total yardage advantage.
Cardinal Stritch finished 5-4, but lost three of its last four games games, including last week’s 49-48 setback to fellow Region 22 playoff qualifier Northwood. The Cardinals had just one win over an opponent with a winning record.
