MANSFIELD — The City of Mansfield announced Tuesday afternoon it has closed its Utility Collections office to access by the public/customers via the lobby and the drive-up window at least through the end of this week.

The announcement came via a press release issued by Public Works Director Dave Remy.

“Because of issues involving the current state of the pandemic, the City has closed its Utility Collections office to access by the public/customers via the lobby and the drive-up window at least through the end of this week,” Remy stated.

Water and sewer bills can still be paid through use of the drop box located on the west side of the building near the drive-up window, he said.

“Also, for the remainder of this week, water shut offs will not occur for delinquent accounts,” Remy stated. “At week’s end, the situation will be evaluated for resumption of normal access beginning next week.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but the health and safety of all, employees and customers, alike is paramount.”
