Mary E. Taylor, 86, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was born in Elkhorn City, Kentucky on February 6, 1934 to the late Hallie and Sarah (Ratliff) Haynes.
Mary retired from housekeeping after working many years at MedCentral Hospital. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved and cherished time spent with family and even raised her sister, Dixie who continued to be her best friend throughout life. Mary enjoyed family gatherings and traveling to Kentucky. She liked soap operas and going out to eat, especially to Olive Garden. Mary was a member at Faith United Methodist Church and of the Sunshine Sisters.
Mary is survived by her sons, Ronald (Penny) Taylor, Bryan (Pam) Taylor, James (Krista) Taylor and David (Marie) Taylor; six grandsons, Michael (Julie) Taylor, Joey (Eva) Taylor, Steven Taylor, David (Jordan) Taylor Jr., Brandon (Ashley) Taylor and Richie (Taylor) Taylor; nine great-grandchildren with one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Kenneth Taylor; and eight brothers and sisters.
Private services will be held for the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
