MANSFIELD — Roby Foster Miller Earick insurance (RFME) has announced its merger with Botkin Insurance advisors, a Franklin County agency, according to a press release issued on Wednesday morning.

Botkin has been doing business in and around the Clintonville and Short North areas of Columbus for more than 36 years.

“This merger will greatly enhance our growing presence in the greater Columbus area,” RFME CEO John C. Roby said.

According to Roby, RFME’s footprint has been steadily increasing along the 1-71 corridor for the past several years. Roby went on to say that the merger will complement RFME’s growth in the company’s Worthington location.

RFME insurance was established in 1872 and with the merger, will employ over 20 people in its Mansfield and Columbus offices.
