MANSFIELD — The Richland County Transit Board announced Wednesday it will continue the additional bus service recently provided to the Airport Industrial Park as a six-month trial period from May through October.
The original trial was a collaborative effort between the Richland County Transit Board, the North End Community Improvement Collaborative, and some of the airport area businesses.
The trips at 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. are in addition to the already established trips at 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. They bring the total number of frequencies on this route to four each day, providing service from downtown Mansfield to many of the industries in the airport area.
“Utilization of the route during the additional six-month period will be evaluated to determine if these trips will be made a permanent addition to the current fixed route system,” reads a press release from the Richland County Transit Board.
