MANSFIELD — The Ohio Museums Association (OMA) has chosen Little Buckeye Children’s Museum’s Discover Richland Membership Bundle as the 2019 recipient of the Best Community Collaboration Award of Achievement (under $500,000 budget category.)

The Discover Richland Membership Bundle is a 3-in-1 membership, which includes a year-long membership to Little Buckeye Children’s Museum, Kingwood Center Gardens and the Ohio Bird Sanctuary, plus 12 bonus tickets to Richland Carrousel Park.

That’s a $212 value for just $169 (a 20-percent discount), making it enticing for local families.

In early 2018, Little Buckeye Children’s Museum met with three other family-oriented, community-minded nonprofit organizations in Richland County (Kingwood Center Gardens, Ohio Bird Sanctuary and Richland Carrousel Park) to discuss how the entities could better serve their shared customer-base.

Almost a year later, the Discover Richland Membership Bundle was officially launched.

“Together we offer an enhanced family-friendly experience,” said Suzanna Hammond, of Little Buckeye. “Our customers are the priority of all of our organizations and we thought it was time to express our gratitude for their endless support and loyalty by offering them a great deal.

“And because our mission at Little Buckeye Children’s Museum centers on healthy child development, we felt it was extremely important to collaborate with these organizations so that we may offer families a more complete, well-rounded opportunity for appropriate child development activities.”
