A volunteer crew helped clean up a section of the Sandusky River over the weekend.

BUCYRUS — Volunteers gathered on Saturday, June 23 to clean up the Sandusky River and around the grounds of Aumiller Park.

This event was coordinated by the Crawford Soil and Water Conservation District. The event lasted several hours; groups traveled through the river collecting garbage on the banks as well as in the stream, while more volunteers cleaned up around the ballfields and play areas.
