GALION — The Ohio Department of Transportation has issued its District 3 construction report for the week of June 18.
As a result, Crawford County drivers are urged to use caution on these roads:
State Route 4
SR 4, from the Marion County line to the City of Bucyrus, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete July 2018.
State Route 19
SR 19, between Hopley St. and S. Walnut St., will be reduced to one lane of traffic for resurfacing work. Traffic will be maintained with periodic flagging operations. Crews continue removing asphalt at intersections and begin crack sealing. The project is expected to be complete June 2018.
US Route 30
US 30, from Tiffin St. to Lower Leesville Rd., will have eastbound and westbound single lane closures for bridge repairs. Crews will maintain one lane of traffic in each direction at all times. Please use caution while driving in the area. The project is expected to be complete July 2018.
State Route 96
SR 96, between SR 98 and SR 602, will close Monday, June 18 for three consecutive culvert replacements. The detour route for westbound motorist is SR 96 to SR 602, north on SR 602 to SR 98, southwest on SR 98 to SR 96, and reverse for eastbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen Friday, June 29, 2018.
State Route 98
SR 98 (Plymouth St.), from SR 4 (Sandusky Ave.) to US 30, will close Monday, June 11 for sanitary sewer installations and resurfacing work. No truck traffic will be permitted to travel through this area. Only local traffic will be able to access certain portions of SR 98 as the project progresses. The detour route for westbound motorists is SR 98 to US 30, west on US 30 to SR 4, south on SR 4 to SR 98, and reverse for eastbound motorists. The project is expected to be complete August 2018.
State Route 602/96 Intersection
The intersection of SR 602 and SR 96, between Locustgrove Rd. and Beck Rd., will close Monday, June 18 for a culvert replacement. The detour route(s) are as follows: The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 602 to SR 330, west on SR 330 to US 30, west on US 30 to SR 98, north on SR 98 to SR 602, and reverse for southbound motorists. The detour route for westbound motorists is SR 96 to SR 598, south on SR 598 to SR 330, west on SR 330 to SR 98, north on SR 98 to SR 96, and reverse for eastbound traffic. The project is expected to be complete Friday, June 29.
