Robert "Bob" Adkins

Robert “Bob” Adkins, 60, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

Born May 28, 1957 in Mansfield, he was the son of Charles Edward Adkins, Sr. and Fredia Joy (Tackett) Adkins.

Bob worked for Mohican Reservation, Mansfield Seat Cover, Ohio Brass, Tappan and Westinghouse in the maintenance departments. He was a good-hearted person and never met a stranger. Bob loved being outdoors whether it was fishing, hunting or mushroom hunting. He enjoyed doing car upholstery and Kentucky basketball. 

He is survived by his mother, Fredia Adkins; sons, Robert “Bobby” Adkins, Jr. and Les Adkins (fiancée Amber Lookabaugh); a brother, Chuck (Donna) Adkins; three grandchildren, Cailey, Bryson and Tyler; Longtime companion, Linda Bartrum and her daughter, Renee (Toby) Putnum; many nieces and nephews; Aunt, Flora Adkins; and Uncle, Daniel (Betty) Adkins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Adkins Sr. 

Funeral services are Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. with calling hours one hour prior from 10 to 11 a.m. at Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 South Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario conducted by Pastor Clifford Earl Tackett and Rev. Duane Saylor. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
