MANSFIELD — In a powerful demonstration of unity, love, and inclusion, faith leaders and community members from across the region will gather for the 2nd annual Mansfield Interfaith Pride Service.
This event will take place on Wednesday, June 24 at 7 pm. at Grace Episcopal Church and Pantry, located at 41 Bowman Street in Mansfield. This year’s service centers around the inspiring theme, “Pride Rising.”
The community-wide celebration will bring together diverse religious traditions, local LGBTQAI+ advocates, and exceptional musical talent to kick off Mansfield’s Pride festivities with a foundation of faith, mutual respect, and shared joy.
“Beginning our local Pride celebrations with an interfaith prayer service centers our community in love, affirmation, and sacred community,” said Fr. Christopher D. Hofer, Priest-in-Charge at Grace Episcopal Church and Pantry in Mansfield and St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Ashland.
“It sends a clear, undeniable message that the LGBTQAI+ community is deeply loved, valued, and divinely blessed. Grace Episcopal Church is honored to host and organize this service for the second year in a row because our doors and our hearts are explicitly open to everyone,” Hofer said.
“We believe that a vibrant faith community must actively stand as a beacon of sanctuary, celebration, and radical hospitality for all people.”
Organizers emphasize that in 2026, solidarity and collective joy are more vital than ever. At a time when divisions can easily fracture society, the community must intentionally come together to celebrate the magnificent diversity of all of God’s creation.
The “Pride Rising” service serves as a living testament that differences in identity and belief are not barriers, but beautiful expressions of a diverse world to be embraced.
The service is intentionally interfaith, featuring participation, prayers, and readings from clergy representing both Jewish and Christian traditions.
The evening’s homily will be delivered by The Most Rev. Dr. Joseph C. Richards, Presiding Archbishop of the Inclusive Catholic Church. Attendees will also hear inspirational greetings from several area LGBTQAI+ leaders who are driving positive change and visibility across the region.
An uplifting musical program will anchor the evening, featuring special music by vocalists Tim Denis and Patrick Clinage, accompanied by the renowned Dr. David Crane.
Following the service, all attendees are invited to stay for a time of community fellowship to connect with neighbors and faith leaders. All are welcome to attend this vibrant celebration of worship, community, and unconditional love
