Thomas Theohares, 85, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 30, 2018, at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home.

He was born Nov. 21, 1932, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Jack and Drosso (Khoudaratzi) Theohar.

Tom graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1950. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War and was discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Tom retired from RGIS Inventory Specialists and was the co-owner and operator of the East Side Nite Club and Tom’s House. He was a member of Amvets Post #26, 40 et 8 Club and the Earl D. McVey American Legion Post #16.

He is survived by his sons, Nick (Anne) Theohares, of Pendleton, Indiana, and Steve Theohares (fiancée, Teresa McCarty), of Galena, Ohio; daughter, Cynthia (Butch) Davidson, of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Katie (Tom) Theohares Thorman, David Theohares, Alex Theohares and Sarah Theohares; and his brother, Harry (Rhonda) Theohar.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in 1988; and his twin sister, Fortina Theohares Seybold.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. A graveside service conducted by Father Michael Ellis will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Mansfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Richland County Veterans Service Commission.
