Jack Fugett Jr., 62, of Mansfield, passed away Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Jack was born on Sept. 29, 1955 in Mansfield, Ohio to Jack and Edna Mae (Thompson) Fugett.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Anita (Myers) Fugett; three daughters, Veronica Fugett, Melissa (Eric) Cole, and Christina Beauford; grandchildren, Taylor, Lukas, Camryn, Elizabeth, Lexy, Aryah, Adrienne, and Avynn; father, Jack Fugett, Sr.; three siblings, Jerry (Melissa) Fugett, Brenda Ewers, and Beanesa (Sonny) Worden; and mother-in-law, Shirley Studer.

Jack was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Mae (Thompson) Fugett.

Jack was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High and retired from the City of Mansfield Water Department after 25 years of hard work. He was one of a kind. Those who were blessed to know him know he was a jack of all trades. If you called him a friend then you likely never needed the number of a plumber, mechanic, engineer, handy man or builder.

He found joy in helping those around him in any and every way. Jack was also a family man, he was a proud provider and spent his days babysitting grandchildren, traveling to West Virginia, and making his rounds for his coffee dates. Jack enjoyed playing the banjo and guitar and spent many years entertaining those around him with his gift.

He enjoyed hunting and riding four wheelers with his grandchildren. Jack was a hard worker and even after retiring he continued working because he could not sit still. He lived his life leading by example and set a high standard for what a good man was.

Although our hearts are heavy with the physical loss of this extraordinary man, he will continue to live through us each time we help a friend in need. Jack will be remembered for his integrity, worth ethic, honor and kind heart. He spent his entire life giving to those around him and each life he touched has been better for the short time that we got to borrow him.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018 at Deer Ridge Golf Course and Event Center from 1 to 3 p.m. The family welcomes all who knew Jack to come and share stories and memories and share in the celebration of his beautiful life.

Jack asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
