Steven Lee Winters, 64, of Perrysville, died Saturday morning, Sept. 30, 2017 in University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center after a sudden illness at his home.

Steve was born July 20, 1953 in Mansfield, the son of the late Ralph and Doris (McGugin) Winters, and he was a Perrysville-Lucas area resident most of his life, and member of St. John Lutheran Church, Perrysville.

He was a 1972 graduate of Lucas High School and Pioneer JVS and he was a 38-year employee of Mansfield Plumbing Products working in the Maintenance Department. Steve loved helping his friends with their farming, tractor pulling, the outdoors, Ohio State sports and the Cleveland Indians. 

He is survived by his wife, Katherine L. Christine Winters, whom he married June 6, 1981; three daughters, Crystal (Kevin) Lum, of Knoxville, Tennessee, Heather (Scott) Shepperd, of Toledo, and Elizabeth Winters, of Perrysville; two sons, Kyle (Pamela) Winters, of Loudonville, and Jason Winters of Perrysville; 12 grandchildren; and three sisters, Carol (Joe) Lance of Ashland, Judy Eden of Delaware, and Janet (Bob) Lemon of Lake Worth,Florida.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. in Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville with Rev. Richard Beal officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
