Elsie Lou Hawk passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 in her home surrounded by her family. She was 78.
She was born March 12, 1939 to parents Leonard and Doris (Weber) Koenig in Longbottom. She married Donald Henry Hawk and they we happily married for many years. Now they are together again.
Elsie worked at Therm-O-Disc, where she was employed for more than 15 years before retiring.
She is survived by children Nanette (Kenneth) Griffith, Pamela (Harold) Taylor and Kenneth (Sandy) Hawk; grandchildren Dawn Coffman, Joeleen (Curtis) Mellars, Justin Burdine, Crystal (Tony) Russell, Kendra Behrends, Katelynne Hawk and Christa Hawk; great-grandchildren Blake Coffman, America Jackson, Blayden Mellars, Aydian Russell, Harmony Russell, Michael Behrends, Mya Behrends, Avery Branham and Aspen Huff.
In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Cheryl Rice.
A funeral service honoring Elsie’s life will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. Pastor T.J. Waters will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
