Adult Education Programs
Administrative Medical Office Specialist (AMOS) – is skilled in the technical concepts of medical billing and coding required to coordinate administrative office functions in the medical office, clinic, nursing home, and hospital settings.
Business Office Technologies (BOT) – consists of office and computer training as well as specialization in medical billing and coding.
Dental Assisting (DA) – prepares students to work under the supervision of dentists performing a variety of patient care and laboratory duties.
Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (HVAC) – consists of entry level training from how to maintain and troubleshoot systems through hands-on lab training, and project site hands-on experience.
Maintenance Training (MT) – prepares students with basic knowledge of welding, electrical, power mechanics, hydraulics/pneumatics to perform maintenance within hospitals, schools, municipalities, nursing homes, manufacturing plants, and other facilities.
Medical Assisting (MA) – students complete the program with the needed administrative and clinical skills to assist in a medical office under the physician’s direction. They can schedule patients, assist with billing and coding, maintain medical records, perform blood draws and electrocardiograms, administer medications, and assist in patient education and preparation for exams.
Pharmacy Technician (PHARM) – prepares students to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam required to assist in filling prescriptions, preparing medications such as IVs, greet customers, and perform general pharmacy procedures under the direction of a registered pharmacist.
Phlebotomy Technology (PHLE) – draws blood and takes tissue samples from medical patients. Some common tasks include analyzing body fluids and cells, looking for bacteria, parasites and other micro-organisms, matching blood for transfusions, and testing for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment in hospital and lab settings.
State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) – are healthcare professionals who provide basic nursing care such as dressing, feeding, bathing, and observing patients. Tasks will vary dependent upon the patient care location.
Welding Technology (WELD) – is the art of structural bonding. These skills are used to fabricate and repair projects in manufacturing, maintenance and various industries. The program covers MIG/TIG/ARC welding, gas cutting, soldering and brazing, print reading and math, metal fabrication, and pipe welding.
