MaryEllen Kollin, 79, of Bellville, died Thursday March 30, 2017 at her residence.
She was born in Springfield, Ohio on Feb. 26, 1938 to Nicholas and Ruth (Barbee) Bishop Sr.
MaryEllen was a member of Resurrection Parish in Lexington. She enjoyed volunteering at the Renaissance Theater, American Red Cross, The Lexington and Ontario Senior Center’s.
After many years of service she retired from Columbia Gas of Ohio. She loved working over the years with her daughter Kim at Black Cat Asphalt. MaryEllen enjoyed her bingo buddies and auction sales throughout the years. She and Kim would like to thank Hospice of North Central Ohio and their many friends for all the kindness shown and help with thoughtful prayers.
Surviving are her children; a son, Ken (Carolyn) Kollin, of Hereford, Texas; two daughters, Cynthia Kollin, of Hilliard, and Kim Kollin, of Bellville; two brothers, Father Jerome Bishop, of Cincinnati, and Lawrence Bishop, of Springfield.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters; Barbara Tom and Lillian Bishop, three brothers; Nicholas Bishop Jr., William Bishop and Robert Bishop.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Resurrection Parish in Lexington with Rev. Father Jerome Bishop as Celebrant. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. A private burial will be held at a later date.
