Katrina Marie (Woodmansee) Gibson, 41, of Crestline, died Monday, March 20, 2017 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Katrina was born in Mansfield on Jan. 14, 1976 to Charles R. and Patricia L. (Clawson) Woodmansee.
Katrina graduated from Crestline High School in 1994. She played the flute in Crestline’s High School Band. A talented flutist, Katrina won several awards for her performances. Her granddaughter, Adilynn Rose was the light of her life. Katrina enjoyed reading and excelled in the martial arts, earning the ranking of Brown Belt in karate.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughters, Kaitlyn Gibson and Cloe Taylor, both of Crestline; her granddaughter, Adilynn Rose; her best friend and father of Cloe, Rome Taylor; her sister Pamela K. Woodmansee of Mansfield; maternal grandparents, Shirley Clawson of Tiro, and Keith and Carla Clawson of Shelby; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles and Frances Woodmansee.
Friends may call Friday, March 24, 2017 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 W. Main St., Crestline. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Crestline, with Pastor Joe Stafford officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Foundation.
