MANSFIELD — Main Street Books will be hosting five northeast Ohio celebrity authors for a book signing event from 1 until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21 at their 104 N. Main St. store.

Signing copies of their latest books will be TV personalities Neil Zurcher of One-Tank Trip fame and Dan Couglin as well as radio personality Mike Olszewski, Random House’s Maura Zagrans and Put-in-Bay’s Bob Adamov.

Called “One of the most respected and knowledgeable travel writers in the state” by former Ohio Governor George Voinovich, Zurcher has received the Distinguished Service award from the Society of Professional Journalism. He also received an “Emmy” award, the rare Gold Circle Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the coveted Award for Excellence in Broadcasting from the Cleveland Association of Broadcasters. Zurcher for many years also wrote a column for the Auto Club’s Ohio Motorist Magazine and for the Cleveland Plain Dealer and has written seven books about Ohio, including “Ohio Oddities” and “Strange Tales from Ohio.” His most recent book, “The Best of One Tank Trips” was published in late 2016.

Dan Coughlin

Dan Coughlin, a mere 78-years-old, covered sports here in his hometown of Cleveland for more than 50 years, since 1964, and he has compiled many of his favorite stories and characters into three books. Gray and Company had the audacity to publish all three of them: Crazy with the Papers to Prove It, Pass the Nuts, and Let’s Have Another.

Not only have people enjoyed the stories in print, but they love his storytelling in person. Dan covered sports for The Plain Dealer from 1964-82. Since 1983 he has been a character himself on Fox 8 television.

Mike Olszewski

Mike Olszewski is a veteran award winning radio and TV journalist best known for his work on the legendary WMMS-FM. He now teaches media courses on the college level, and is author of several books on media history.

His book Radio Daze got national attention, and was adapted as part of a stage presentation by the world renowned Cleveland Play House. Along with his wife, Janice, he has co-authored Cleveland TV Tales I & II, and the upcoming Cleveland Radio Tales.

Maura Zagrans

Maura’s first book, the bestseller Miracles Every Day, chronicles the life, profession, and public prayer ministry of Dr. Issam Nemeh, a Northeast Ohio physician who has prayed over tens of thousands of people, many of whom experienced subsequent miraculous healings.

Her sophomore release, Camerado, I Give You My Hand, introduces readers to Sandusky native David T. Link, an exceptionally accomplished attorney, law school dean, university president, civil rights activist, husband, father, and grandfather. After his wife of 45 years died of cancer, Link heard a calling to minister to men behind bars, was ordained a priest, and, at the age of 71, launched a whole new career as prison chaplain.

Maura interviewed a wide spectrum of professionals and academics but found the full story when she went behind the razor wire, where she photographed and interviewed prisoners in maximum-, medium-, and minimum-security facilities. Inspired by what she learned in writing this book, Maura now joins Father Dave in working to fix our broken criminal justice system. In 2014, Maura received the Woman of Distinction Award from the Elyria Y.W.C.A. and was installed in the Elyria High School Hall of Fame.
