Reinette’s faith was placed in Jesus Christ as her Savior. As such she entered into His presence Saturday, March 18, 2017 from her home surrounded by her family. She was 54.

Born Feb. 16, 1963 to parents Thomas & Irene (Schilling) Connor in Santa Barbara, California. Reinette graduated from Ashland High School with the class of 1981. On Sept. 19, 1981, she married Mark K. Mauk and they shared 35 wonderful years of marriage together.

She loved to be outside working in the barn or the garden. Her passion for horses led to many years working with Raemelton Therapeutic Equestrian Center first as a volunteer, then as an instructor and volunteer coordinator. Reinette was also an avid skier. She was a member of Ski Patrol at Clearfork Ski Area and Snow Trails.

There was nothing she loved more than her family, friends, and animals. Her smile was as quick as her sense of humor. She never met a stranger. If anyone ever had a question about anything, Reinette was the person to ask. She had an artistic side a mile wide. Anything from painting to pastels to creating horse show clothing; she could do it.

She is survived by husband Mark K. Mauk, children Andrea J. Mauk, Ethan T. Mauk and Andrea L. Mauk; granddaughter Shaylee L. Mauk; Brother Guy Connor; parents Tom & Irene (Schilling) Connor.

The Mauk family will receive friends Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where a memorial service honoring Reinette’s life will be held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Pastor Curt Crist will speak.

For contributions in her memory may be made at the funeral. Please, make checks payable to Raemelton Therapeutic Equestrian Center.

Snyder Funeral Homes is honored to serve Reinette’s family and encourage you to share a fond memory or message of condolence to them at SnyderFuneralHomes.com.
