Billie Jean McKee, 79, Galion, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Mansfield.

Jean was born in Plymouth on June 23, 1937 to the late Perry and Ellen (McGinty) Grimmer. She married Robert F. McKee on April 12, 1958 and he preceded her in death on September 10, 2000.

Jean was employed at AMF, Shelby and North Electric, ITT, Peco, Galion she helped to build the very first HOBART. Jean was a graduate of Galion High School and a member of the Gospel Baptist Church, Galion. Jean enjoyed traveling and eating out, and she loved her Yorkie, “Four.”

Jean is survived by her sons, Roger Gullett, and Kelly McKee, Galion, her daughter, Robin and Daniel Roberts, of Mansfield; her six grandchildren, Shayne Brady, David Roberts, Daniel Smith, Natalie Miller, Nathan Gullett, and Robbie McKee; her nine great-grandchildren; her one great-great-grandson; and her brother David and Luci Grimmer, Shelby.

In addition to her husband, Jean was preceded in death by her son, Kyle P. McKee on December 25, 2016; her brother, Donald Grimmer; and her infant brother, Roger Grimmer.

There will be a private memorial service for Jean at a later date. The Schneider-Gompf Funeral, 303 Portland Way North, Galion, is honored to serve the family of Jean McKee.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio in care of the funeral home.
