LaVaun E. Riblet, 94 of Galion, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at home.
Born July 17, 1922 in Galion, she was the daughter of Wilbur & Mary (Triesch) Young. She married Joel P. Riblet on August 28, 1944 and he preceded her in 1977.
She was a graduate of Galion High School in 1940 and worked as a secretary at the Galion Welding School. LaVaun was a member of First United Church of Christ, Galion Women of the Moose Chapter 177, American Legion Scarbrough Post 243 Auxiliary, Galion Golden Age Center and American Welding Society. She loved to dance, decorate cakes, work word puzzles and work in the yard.
She is survived by her daughter, Rita Bunker of Galion, granddaughter, Vonnie Bunker of Galion, great-granddaughter, Kyle Nicole Williams of Galion and brother, Harold Young of Galion.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and Gerald Young and her special companion, her Bichon dog, Missy.
At her request no services will be held.
