Joshua Timothy Blauser

In some ways Josh Blauser was your typical teenager. Smart, active and athletic, he loved the outdoors, running and biking. He played multiple sports and marched in the band. However, Josh’s character and personality were anything but typical. A young man who put others above himself, Josh had a huge, generous heart. Raised to respect others, he gave the best bear hugs, had the best smile, and genuinely loved life.

No longer bound to his earthly tent, Joshua Timothy Blauser of Bellville passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 following a seizure. He was 17.

The son of Tim Blauser and Dawn (Swiatek) Blauser, Josh was born Nov. 13, 1999 in Cleveland. A junior at Clear Fork High School, he earned varsity letters while playing the snare drum for the CFHS marching band. Josh also lettered in tennis and soccer where he played centerfielder and midfielder for the Colts. Soccer was one of Josh’s passions and he was chosen for the ‘Intensity’ award in the 2016 season.

Josh loved to snowboard and this year was employed at Snow Trails Ski Lodge. Last summer he served as an intern for Storyside Church in Bellville. Josh was strong and sure in his faith. He was a member at St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Mansfield.

Josh could make anyone laugh with his quick wit and contagious smile. He remained positive and uplifting even when he wasn’t feeling well. Josh was a sweet, thoughtful & loving son, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend. He will be deeply missed and will remain forever in our hearts.

Josh is survived by his mother Dawn (Swiatek) Blauser, of Bellville, father Tim Blauser, of Bellville; sister Sarah Blauser and brothers Gabe and Drew Blauser; maternal grandparents Gary (Carol) Swiatek, of Bellville and paternal grandmother Janice (Vince) David, of Missouri; aunts and uncles Jennifer (Taha) Albanna, of North Olmsted, John (Elizabeth) Swiatek, of Bellville, Dr. Michael and (Tami) Swiatek, of Bellville, Joseph Blauser, of Ridgway, Pennsylvania, and John Blauser, of Ridgway, Pennsylvania; nieces and nephews Ryan McCune, Sabrene Albanna, Mariah and Mohammad Albanna, Diego Cerron-Portales, Isabella, Jackson, and Braeden Swiatek, Kaylee Gates, Elizabeth Launer, Danielle Knapp, Jessica, Derrick, Jerin, and Mason Blauser, as well as a large circle of friends.
