Betty L. Isbel Bise-Depue, 89, of Mansfield went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

She was born Sept. 18, 1927 in Kingsport, Tennessee to the late Hugh and Effie Isbel.

Betty lived her life in Mansfield from the age of 17, after moving from Tennessee. She worked many years with the News Journal in the cafeteria, and also did some home health care, but her family fondly remembers her time at home lovingly taking care of them.

Betty was a faithful member of Hillside First Church of God. She loved her God, and her church, and her family very dearly. Crafting, knitting and crocheting were some of her favorite past-times. Betty especially enjoyed crocheting hats for the benefit of local cancer patients.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane (Glenn) Peyton, of Lucas; a son, William E. (Brenda) Bise, of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren, Brad Peyton, of Lucas, Shane (Kendra) Bise, of Galion, Justin (Heather) Bise, of Columbus, Josh Bise, of Phoenix, Arizona; and two great-granddaughters, McKenna and Emerson Bise, of Columbus. Also surviving are her two sisters, Iva Cecil, of Mansfield, and Pearl Psimer, of Kingsport, Tennessee; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives, and many good church friends.

Preceding Betty in death were her parents; her first husband of over 52 years, William E. Bise Sr.; her second husband, Ray Depue; three sisters, Dorothy Price, Maude Hackney and Edna Barnes; and three brothers, Homer, Hurley and Hugh Jr. Isbel.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St, Mansfield. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Glenn Phillips officiating. She will be laid to rest at Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Betty, may be made to Hillside First Church of God.
