Wayne Arthur Esterline, 70, peacefully passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 at Mill Creek Nursing Home in Galion following an extended illness.

Wayne was born July 20, 1946 in Mansfield the son of Fred and Mary (Callahan) Esterline and graduated from Mansfield Senior High.

Wayne worked as a welder for over 30 years with Mansfield Structural Steel until he retired. He enjoyed working with his hands and seeing the results of his hard work.

In spare time, he thoroughly enjoyed fishing. Wayne was a former member of the Apostolic Christian Church and his faith in Jesus Christ was unwavering.

He is survived by two daughters Denise Esterline, of Lexington, and Jessica Esterline, of California; one grandson Heath Esterline; one great-grandson Hunter Esterline; a sister and brother-in-law Esther and Charles Kirkwood, of Mansfield; and nephew Paul and Jocelyn Esterline, of Crestline.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Friends may call 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017 in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where a funeral service celebrating his life will be held 11 a.m. Monday. Pastor Clyde Kirby will officiate and burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
