GALION — The Galion Police Department is seeking help identifying a robbery suspect.
Police say the robbery occurred at Check Into Cash, 703 Harding Way East, Galion. On Dec. 15 at 12:11 p.m., a 911 caller stated the suspect showed part of a gun that was in his pocket.
He took money from the cash register and left the store on foot, authorities say.
The witness description of the suspect was:
White male, heavyset.
Wearing a grey, hooded sweatshirt with faded blue jeans, and blue athletic shorts over the jeans.
Tan or beige bandage wrap covering the lower portion of his face
Police officers were assisted by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office to look for the suspect but were unable to locate an individual matching this description.
The crime scene was processed by the Galion Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit and footage from security cameras in the area is under review but there is no photo to use at this time.
The suspect is still at-large.
