Ray-Jean Au

Ray-Jean Au, 64, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 31, 2016, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a fighter and had survived cancer, kidney failure and a partial amputation. She was born May 13, 1952, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Raymond “Gene” and Helen (Subich) Au.

Ray-Jean was a graduate of Malabar High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University. Until her health failed, she was employed at Wal-Mart and had previously worked at Hot Sams for over 20 years. Ray-Jean was a 30+ year volunteer with the American Red Cross. Blessed with loads of energy and knowledge, she was a certified CPR instructor, First Aid Instructor, Pet First Aid Instructor and EMT. She was always willing to go above and beyond to help others and Ray-Jean’s heart was definitely full of love for others and their well-being. An adventurer, she was a certified scuba diver and member of CERT.

She is survived by a brother, Danny C. Au; and sister, Marianne “Max” Au.

There will be no services or visitations. Wappner Cremation Center is privileged to serve the family.
