ASHLAND – Kingston of Ashland will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner and Alzheimer’s education program on Friday, Sept. 8, 2015 at 5 p.m. for dinner and learn about “Understanding & Responding to Dementia Related Behavior” with Kristin Gale from the Alzheimer’s Association.

One in nine people age 65 and older has Alzheimer’s disease. In addition, Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States and the only cause of death among the top 10 in the United States that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed.

Alzheimer’s is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior.

“We are excited to partner with the Alzheimer’s Association and help with education about this disease” says Melanie Fitch, Kingston of Ashland Community Relations Assistant.

Dinner is variable by donations with proceeds supporting the Alzheimer’s Association. For more information about the Dinner And Alzheimer’s Education Program contact Stephanie Kozak or Melanie Fitch at 419-289-3859.
