Linda L. Spreng, 75, of rural Perrysville died Tuesday morning, Aug. 16, 2016 in the Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness.
Linda was born Feb. 1, 1941 in Columbus and was the daughter of the late Francis B. and Frances (Brush) Bevelhymer. She was a 1958 graduate of Johnstown-Monroe High School and attended Ashland College for two years studying art.
Linda lived in the Perrysville-Loudonville area since 1968 and was a homemaker and co-owner of the family farm in addition to being an accomplished artist working in multiple mediums. She served four years on the Board of Education of the Loudonville-Perrysville Schools during the 1970’s and enjoyed being a loving mother and grandmother who kept her little black book full of everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries.
Linda loved to travel and was quite the adventurer. She and her husband, Chuck, had visited nearly every continent and were planning a trip to Antarctica.
Linda is survived by her husband, Charles W. Spreng, whom she married Aug. 16, 1977; one son, Dr. Jon “Chip” (Dr. Teresa) Cooperrider II, of rural Perrysville; two daughters: Heidi (Don) Cooperrider-Young, of Redmond, Washington, and Tina (Tim Cowan) Cooperrider, of Loudonville; two step-sons: Milton (Amy) Spreng, of rural Perrysville, and Dr. William (Jody) Spreng, of Wellington; one step-daughter, Beverly (Dan) Bilger, of Loudonville; eight grandchildren: Mara, Tessa, Madeline, Zohdi, Piper, Jhet, Brue, and Rai; eight step-grandchildren: John (April), Tom (Lara), Andy (Angie), Christie (Chet), C.J. (Michelle), Jacqueline, Robert (Jennifer), Tabatha; seven step-great-grandchildren: Iva, Caden, Riley, Hailey, Adeline, Austin, and Joseph; one brother, Roger (Annette) Bevelhymer, of Shelby; and four nephews and one niece: Corey, Bradley, Gregory, Wesley, and Tiffany.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one step-son, Michael Spreng.
Private family remembrances will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation.
