Elsa Howman, 86, of Galion, Ohio passed away on Monday, Aug. 15, 2016 at Signature of Galion.
She was born to John Emerson and Pearl (Davidson) Brown on May 14, 1930 in Wellington, Ohio.
Elsa spent much of her time volunteering for many different charities. She loved shopping, and playing Bingo. She also was a cat lover. In addition, Elsa was an avid Baker, especially when it came to pies and cookies.
Elsa is survived by two daughters, Christine Barry Hooks, of Morganton, North Carolina, and Deborah Shilling, of Ft. Myers, Florida; one son, Rex Howman, of Galion; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Anita (Bill) McKenna, of Elyria, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Elsa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cloyd V. Howman; one son, Gary Howman; two brother; and one sister.
Guests are invited to Ashland County Memorial Park Mausoleum for a service, officiated by Rev. George Reece, which will be held on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. The Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
