ASHLAND — Excitement will be on the ground at the Corner Park and in the air as the Akron Children’s Hospital pediatric medical transport helicopter “Air Bear” lands behind the city building parking lot as part of this Friday’s final Fun Fabulous Friday event for the United Way of Ashland County.
The “Crazy Days of Summer” theme will highlight games, music and special surprises throughout the event which begins at 11:45 until approximately 1 .pm.
In honor of Air Bear’s trip to Ashland all attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite teddy bear. Prizes will be awarded in different teddy bear categories.
The Akron Children’s Hospital fitness team will also be at the park with fitness challenges and many giveaways.
The St. Edward’s Youth Group will be returning to make their famous homemade lemonade for al of the attendees.
Jake’s Steakhouse will be the first time food sponsor bringing their popular pulled pork sandwiches and hot dogs. Lunch will be by donation. The event sponsors for “Crazy Days of Summer” are Irwin’s Financial Associates and Dennis and Beth Miller.
In case of inclement weather the event will be moved to the Salvation Army Kroc Center at 527 E. Liberty St.
