Charles C. Price, 56, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 29, 2016.
Charles was born on Nov. 1, 1959, in Mansfield, Ohio to James W. and Helen M. Price. He was a corrections officer for the State of Ohio for 12 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing darts, pool and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons, Michael and Hope Montanez and Chaz Price and Shelby Henderson, all of Mansfield; two sisters, Betty and Steven Cooley, and Debra Snyder, both of Mansfield; one brother Donald E. and Belinda Price, of Mexico, Missouri; grandchildren Mackenzie, Hailea, and Angel Montanez, Dakota Alan Price and one on the way, all of Mansfield; mother of his children, Delores Brown and Rilla Price; great nephew Mason Mitchell and great niece Maygan Mitchell who he was involved with and had a special relationship with them.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, mother, and niece who passed away at a very young age, and Dorothy Banks who he called his “Soul Mate.”
Calling hours will be from noon to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, with Pastor Rob Kurtz officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery. The family will be gathering at the Ashland Road V.F.W. following the services for a time of fellowship and food.
