Carrie Mae Foster, age 75, of Shelby, was born to Eternal Life on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at her home.
She was born to life on January 12, 1941 in Adrian, West Virginia the daughter of the late Maurice Ray and Anna (McCartney) Cutright. Carrie graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in West Virginia.
On April 11, 1963 Carrie married the love of her life, Carl Foster. He survives along with 2 sons: Brian Foster of Shelby and Jason (Sara) Foster of Mansfield; 1 daughter: Tammy Foster Shade of Dublin; 4 grandchildren: Joshua Foster, Matthew Foster, Jack Foster and Lauren Foster; 3 Brothers: Orville Cutright, Davis Cutright and Boyd Cutright all of West Virginia; 1 sister: Mayton Posey of West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Though Carrie had various jobs during her lifetime, she was most proud of being a stay-at-home mom. She was a member of the First Church of God on State Route 39, Women of The Church of God, Upshur County Historical Society, and Richland County-Shelby Chapter of The Ohio Genealogical Society.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday, August 1, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the First Church of God, 3616 State Route 39, Shelby with Pastor George Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
