Brenda Carol Kline, 65, of Shelby, died peacefully Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at her home.

Brenda was born Jan. 7, 1951 in Willard, the daughter of Samuel E. and Louise (Allen) Oney. She attended Plymouth High School.

Brenda worked at MTD and Norstat but was primarily a homemaker and stay at home mom. She was a talented ceramic artist and was the creator of “The Amish Village Collection.” She had a ceramic shop in her home which she then moved to Rome, Ohio. She made custom molds and many of her works appeared in catalogues and Home Shopping Network.

She and her husband, John, were avid travelers who loved traveling across the United States in their motorhome. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

On June 26, 1970, Brenda married John A. Kline and he survives. Also surviving are two children: Matthew (Misty) Kline and Heath (Rosemary) Kline, both of Mansfield; six grandchildren: Autumn, Summer, Kathleen, Matthew, Kaitlin, and Ethan Kline; her father: Samuel Oney of Shiloh; three brothers: Michael Oney, Mark (Jeannie) Oney both of Shiloh, and John David (Rebecca) Oney of Rome; special friends: Mary Linda and Roger Gayheart, Jeanie Bell, and Debbie Fagan; and special cousins: Debbie and Terry Robertson, Terri Gibson, and Dave Mohrman.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Oney in 2001; her sister and best friend, Margaret Oney; and her in-laws: John and Beatrice Kline.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday, July 25 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 W. Main St., Shelby. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 26 at 11 a.m. at the Messiah House of Prayer in Shiloh. Pastor Bill Howell will officiate and burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Messiah House of Prayer or Hospice of North Central Ohio.
