MANSFIELD — The members of First United Methodist Church are saying good-bye to Pastor Kent Joy and his wife Julie as he conducts his final service on Sunday June 26.
Pastor Kent has been active in outreach to the community as he has pastored not only First Church but also All God’s Children, which meets on Tuesday evenings. During his five-plus years in Mansfield, he has been instrumental in the “Last Sunday Morning Breakfasts” and “Supper on the Square,” free meals that are open to the community.
During his time the church has also hosted the annual Martin Luther King celebration. He will continue his ministry in Elyria.
To honor Pastor Kent and Julie, the church will host a brunch and reception following the 10 a.m. service on Sunday the 26th.
