MANSFIELD — Ever since a conversation with OhioHealth Dietician, Marlys Slone, I’ve tried to “eat the rainbow” as she phrased it.

This smoothie is a good way to start.

The ingredients are perfect this time of year:

1/2 cup of the fruits, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries and bananas.

1/2 cup of unflavored almond milk.

1/2 cup of plain or vanilla yogurt.

Blend it all together and you’ll have a great summer beverage.

Fun additions to the smoothie include: ice cubes, peanut butter, protein powder and chocolate syrup.
