ASHLAND — The 10th Annual Ring In Spring to benefit United Way of Ashland County returns to the Ashland County Fairgrounds from 8:30 a.m. to 3: 30 p.m. on Saturday, May 7.

A new addition to the annual fund-raiser is the Family Fun Fair. Coordinated by Family & Children First Council and Ashland County-City Health Department, the Family Fun Fair will feature a wide range of activities including child and family interactive activities and school readiness.

This annual event, sponsored by Ashland Rotary, is an important fundraiser for the United Way of Ashland County.

“Ring In Spring Family Fair and Community Day enters its 10th year as one of the annual premiere family events in Ashland County. Our activities throughout the day provide great entertainment and events for all ages. It is our largest fundraiser of the year and the profits go to help improve lives in Ashland County,” said Ev DeVaul, Executive Director of the United Way of Ashland County.

Amy Nye, Community Outreach Coordinator, encourages families to make Ring in Spring a family event and said there are fun opportunities for all ages.

Events throughout the day include:

  • The Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Cafeteria at the Fairgrounds. Proceeds benefit the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

The Donley Ford-Lincoln of Ashland Drive 4 UR Community event offers the opportunity for the community to help the United Way by test driving vehicles. The United Way will receive $20 per person per test drive, for 300 licensed drivers ages 18 and older. Donley Ford will match the $6,000, meaning the United Way potentially could receive $12,000 that will be designated for the 2017 United Way campaign. Every test driver will receive a hot dog, drink and chips for being a part of reaching the goal of 300 drivers.
