MANSFIELD — Tickets are now available for Richland Academy’s annual rade spring dance concert on Saturday, March 19 at 7 p.m. at the Shelby High School’s Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are available for $15 for adults & $10 for students/seniors.

This year’s performance will feature four companies; rade, rade jr., radkidz, and radkidz2 performing pieces in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Modern, a student choreography piece, and an emotional farewell solo for our senior graduating from Lexington High School; Rachel Weilbacker.

The show begins with 35 of dancers on stage performing to Vivaldi’s Concerto in D minor part 1, which has opened the show for the last six years. There will also be excerpts from some classical ballets Esmeralda, The Flower Festival & La Bayadere.

This show highlights the student’s talent and ability to dance many different techniques and styles, as well as the creativity of the choreographers. Joy Gross will have the audience tapping its toes along with the dancers to We’re in the Money from the hit Broadway Musical 42nd Street.

Sarah Horrigan-Ramos will perform to excerpts from George Gershwin’s American in Paris.

Marden Ramos’ neo classical choreography pushes his dancers to perform at their highest ability. Whether a group piece, duet or solo; his choreography, which often reflects so much of his personal story, will send the audience on an emotional journey through music and movement.
