Dorene Ruth (Steele) Berry Picklesimer, 79, died Thursday morning March 3, 2016 at the Hospice House in Ashland.

Born Aug. 26, 1936 in Menifee County, Kentucky, to Wade Steele and Pearl (Staton) McClain, Dorene has been a Shelby/Willard area resident since 1954. She had worked at MTD in Willard for 37 years before retiring in 2002.

Dorene loved to spend time with her family, especially with her grandsons and great grandsons.

She is survived by her husband, Grover Picklesimer; daughter, Lori (Kevin) Masters, of Shelby; two step-sons, Jeff (Donna) Picklesimer, of Florida, and Todd Picklesimer, of Willard; three grandsons, Donald Shepherd Jr., Colton (Desaree) Masters and Logan Masters; two great grandsons, Eli Shepherd and Greyson Masters; sister, Helen Kathleen Stamper, of Shelby, and brother, John Edward (Evelyn) Steel, of Willard, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wade Steele; mother and step-father, Pearl and Millard (Jack) McClain; two sons, Randy L. Berry and Ronnie D. Berry; one brother, Charles Steele and two sisters, Joyce Steele, Juanita Steele and brother-in-law, Eugene Stamper.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday March 7, 2016 at Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. S.T. Adkins will officiate with internment held in Myers Cemetery, Shelby.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. Memorial expressions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
