MANSFIELD — Suffragist Carrie Chapman Catt will be portrayed Chautauqua-style at 12:30 p.m. March 1 in Founders Auditorium at The Ohio State University at Mansfield as part of Women’s History Month.
Professor Deleasa Randall-Griffiths from Ashland University will appear in costume to talk about Catt’s life.
“Her story is not nearly as well-known as Susan B. Anthony or Elizabeth Cady Stanton, but it highlights important events in both the final passage of the 19th Amendment and the formation of the National League of Women Voters,” Randall-Griffiths noted.
There will be time for questions from the audience, as well as an opportunity to meet the speaker. The public is invited.
