MANSFIELD – The following schedules are for health screening through Richland Public Health for March.

It includes the Community Health Screenings (all ages), Neighborhood Immunizations (adult and child), and Senior Health Screenings (60+). All are at various locations throughout Richland County.

SENIOR SCREENINGS

Special health screenings for senior citizens to check blood pressure and blood sugar levels (three hour fast required for blood sugar), will be provided by Richland Public Health nurses at the following dates, locations and times:

Wednesday, March 2 Butler Adult Senior Center, 20 Henry Street, Butler 8:30 – 10 a.m.

Monday, March 7 Friendly House, 380 N. Mulberry, Mansfield 10 a.m. – Noon

Monday, March 14 Masonic Temple, 1240 Middle-Bellville Rd., Mansfield 9:30 – 11 a.m.

Wednesday, March 16 Ontario United Methodist Church, 3540 Park Ave. West, Ontario 11 a.m. – Noon

Monday, March 21 Peoples Community Senior Center, 597 Park Avenue East, Mansfield 1:30 – 3 p.m.

Wednesday, March 23 YWC Senior Center, 271 Hedges Street, Mansfield 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Clinics are partly funded by local tax dollars and a federal grant administered through the Ohio Department of Aging/District 5 Area Agency on Aging. Donations are accepted.

NEIGHBORHOOD IMMUNIZATIONS

Infants, children and adults can get the shots they need at our Neighborhood Immunization Clinics staffed by public health nurses from Richland Public Health. Children must be accompanied by an adult/guardian and need an up-to-date shot record and insurance card at time of service. Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care, Anthem and Medical Mutual cards are accepted. No child is denied vaccines due to inability to pay (donations are accepted). Cost of most children’s vaccines is $20 and then $10 for each additional dose. Pricing for adult vaccine varies.

Wednesday, March 16 Shenandoah Christian Church, 5642 St. Rt. 13 North, Shenandoah 9:30 a.m. – Noon

Wednesday, March 16 Madison Library, 1395 Grace St., Mansfield 2 – 4 p.m.

Extended hours every Wednesday in March (2, 9, 16, 23, 30) until 6 p.m. Appointment required. Richland Public Health Clinic, 555 Lexington Ave., Mansfield

COMMUNITY HEALTH SCREENINGS

Free health assessments from Richland Public Health nurses for all ages at locations close to home. Health assessments include blood pressure and hemoglobin screening, medication counseling and nutrition education. Blood sugar screening requires a three hour fast and cholesterol screening is available with a 12-hour fast ($10 charge).
