Ruby Jewell Branham, 78, of Ontario, Ohio, passed away Sunday morning, Feb. 7, 2016, at The Good Shepherd in Ashland, Ohio.

She was born Nov. 24, 1937, in Lawton, Kentucky, to the late Charles and Marie (Hanshaw) Wagoner. She was an area resident since 1956. She enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her garden and flowers. Her grandchildren were much loved and adored.

Ruby is survived by two sons, Doyle Branham, of Mansfield, and Christopher Branham of Ashland; six grandchildren, Doyle (Erica) Branham Jr., Eric Branham, Christopher (Allie) Branham Jr., Alexis (Jason) Ruel, McKenzie Branham and Remington Branham; two great-grandchildren, Summer and Carter Branham; one brother, Charles (Connie) Wagoner Jr.; five sisters, Clotene Sparks, Mary Lois Lunsford, Faye Boggs, Nadine Loizer, JoyceAnne Lunsford; sister-in-law, Debbie Wagoner; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Branham; two sisters, Maxine Harr and Wandalene LeMaster; and two brothers, Gary Wagoner and Frank Wagoner.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. The funeral service conducted by Rev. Glenn M. Phillips will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44805.

Ruby was previously a resident at Sterling House in Mansfield and the family would like to thank the staff at Sterling House and The Good Shepherd for the wonderful care given to Ruby during her stay.
