Nancy Pollock Rose passed away Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 in her rural Lexington home. She was 73.
Born Nancy G. Pollock Sept. 9, 1942 in Mansfield to Dr. Robert K. and LeMoyne (Shank) Pollock, she was graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1960.
In March of 1980 she married Master Sergeant Franklyn D. Rose, and they wove a life together earning nurses degrees. As veterinary technicians, they worked together in a private veterinary clinic. And together, they trained, cared and showed Tennessee Walking horses for 25 years, a favorite shared hobby, though Nancy’s favorite companion was clearly her Peek-a-Poo “Krissy.”
She is survived by her stepson and stepdaughter-in-law Franklyn D. Rose, Jr. and Darlene Rose of Little Rock, Arkansas; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law Teresa Rose Wrenn and Dr. Romel Wrenn, of Fairbanks, Arkansas; grandchildren Lexi Rose, Richard P. Gauthier, II, Monique L. Gauthier, Brandon X. Gauthier, and Danielle C. Wrenn; her twin sister Terry Ruckman; cherished friends including Julie Myers, Pat Voelp, Dee and Dave Sutton and none more special than Bob Hubert, and friends too numerous to mention.
Her family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Pastor Jim Randas will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery.
