Edward J. Maresco, 92, of Euclid, died peacefully Friday, January 15, 2016, surrounded by his family. Born March 4, 1923 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Anthony J. and Catherine (Bertoli) Maresco.
A veteran of the United States Army, he served during World War II in the 82nd Airborne of the European Theatre. He was formerly involved with Catholic War Veterans in the Cleveland area. Known for his beautiful singing voice, he also enjoyed gardening, crafts and decorating ~ especially at Christmas. He was very family oriented and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by two daughters, Patti Maresco of Youngstown and Kathy Maresco of Ashland; two sons, Thomas (Kathy L.) Maresco of Bainbridge, and Kevin (Dianne) Maresco of Madison; grandchildren, Sara (Chris) Maresco of Akron, and Erin and Shaelin Maresco of Madison; and great grandchildren, Teagan, Quin and Sadie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen E. (Deinhart) Maresco and seven siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial is being planned at St. Roberts St. Williams Parish in Euclid, Ohio at a later date.
